Where To Buy Genuine Olaplex In The UK: Best Stockists Guide

Olaplex at-home treatments have made a name for themselves in the world of haircare, working to restore broken bonds and repairing your hair on a molecular level – rather than just coating it.

Women around the world have raved about how great it makes their hair feel, reducing damage from heat and colour styling.

If you’re in the market to purchase Olaplex for yourself – I don’t blame you!

As a GHD-junkie I sometimes treat myself to an Olaplex at home session and it helps keep my hair in much better condition than it was before.

A couple of years ago I was scammed by an online seller with a fake product (it was cheap… too good to be true) so I did lots of research into shops selling real Olaplex.

I’ve written up this list of online stockists for Olaplex, answered some commonly asked questions, and given advice on how to ensure you’re purchasing a genuine product.

Feelunique.com

A good online stockist of Olaplex is Feelunique, known as one of the largest online retailers of luxury beauty products in Europe – so you know that their products are legit.

Their customers often commend them for their super quick delivery methods and their wide variety of products, which are always of a high standard and packaged with care.

They are quick to respond to any feedback, which shows that they value their customers’ opinions and will often replace any damaged items.

However, a few customers have stated that they do not offer any solution to products that do not work for you, or you consider to be ‘faulty’, so any returns you make must consist of unopened and sealed products.

They have a 28-day return policy for unwanted items, but do not accept returns of ‘personalised products’. If you’re buying Olaplex, this doesn’t affect you.

They have a ‘great’ review score and often respond to questions and concerns, offering solutions and advice. Click here to see FeelUnique’s range of Olaplex.

Pros:

  • Long standing company, that is known as one of the largest online beauty retailers in Europe
  • Praised for super fast delivery and wide selection of products
  • Items are always well packaged
  • Often replace any damaged items
  • 28 day return policy of unopened and sealed products
  • ‘Great’ trustpilot rating

Cons:

  • Do not accept returns of personalised products

My stash of genuine Olaplex!

Lookfantastic.com

One of my favourite online shops, Lookfantastic has been around for over 20 years, and has been selling luxury beauty products since the beginning.

They’re a reputable seller in the beauty world, stocking loads of products at competitive prices – including a whole range of Olaplex!

Their website is fast loading, easy to navigate, and items are always delivered promptly.

They keep you up to date with the delivery process via email, letting you know when your order has been processed, dispatched and then sends you a tracking number so you can keep up to date with your parcel’s journey.

By reading their reviews on Trustpilot, you can see that the products they stock are genuine and that people tend to be extremely happy with the service and the products that they receive – including me.

Pros:

  • The company has been around for a long time
  • Stocks loads of luxury products
  • Website is fast loading and easy to use
  • Keep you up to date with the delivery process
  • Good Trustpilot reviews
  • Customer service chat to help with easy returns policy
  • Positive media coverage

Cons:

  • Orders are sometimes split, so if you order two products they may come separately – can leave you waiting and not very environmentally friendly!

How to Get Genuine Olaplex on Amazon

Buying Olaplex from Amazon can be tricky, as there have been a few reported fakes – but there are plenty of genuine sellers, too. You just have to know how to spot them.

Lots of people to turn Amazon because they already use them and know about the fast delivery and excellent customer service, and you’re kept up to date with your order throughout its whole journey, but you should definitely do a little extra research when buying from Amazon.

Unfortunately, there’s no real way to tell if Olaplex is real before you order, but a tip I have is to ensure you’re purchasing from a reputable seller, with plenty of positive customer reviews!

Once you’ve received your parcel there are certain things to look for in Olaplex that ensures that it’s real:

What To Look For:

  1. All genuine Olaplex products have a QR code on the bottom, back side. If this code has been scratched, tampered with or does not exist then it is likely that the product is fake or has been diluted.
  2. Genuine Olaplex is not sold in unmarked sample bottles, or ones with handwritten labels.
  3. The bond repairer should be a milky white and creamy consistency, not super thin or thick.

Here’s a handy YouTube video that details what to look for if you’re unsure!

It’s also important to note that just because there have been some reported fakes, doesn’t mean that all Olaplex sold on Amazon isn’t genuine!

There are definitely sellers that sell real Olaplex, and if you come across a fake – Amazon customer service will be able to help you.

We’re HUGE Amazon fans in this house, but I usually buy my Olaplex from one of the shops listed here, because they specialize in beauty products and have good reputations all-round.

The other alternative is to go into hair salons.

Cult Beauty.co.uk

Cult Beauty is another reputable beauty stockist that has been around for over 10 years! Believe me, people who sell fakes don’t last long, so the longer a shop has been around, the better.

Cult Beauty has an easy to navigate website, plenty of information on delivery options and you’re kept up to date with the whereabouts of your order right up until you receive your package.

Their reviews confirm that their products are of high quality, and they are often replying to comments on Trustpilot or social media to help people resolve any issues that haven’t come to them directly – which is great to see and shows that they value their customers.

Cult Beauty has competitive prices for their products, which is always a good sign from a trusted shop – as if a product seems extremely cheap elsewhere, this may be because it isn’t genuine or is faulty in some way.

They have a good returns policy too, giving you 30 days after delivery to return your unwanted items as long as they are in a resellable condition – meaning that they’re unopened, hygiene seals intact and with all original packaging.

The returns are also free to send with Royal Mail – which is great as a lot of companies require you to pay to have your parcel returned.

Pros:

  • A longstanding website with a loyal customer base, including plenty of celebrities and ‘influencers’
  • Easy to use website
  • Kept up to date with your order’s whereabouts
  • Trustpilot confirms their products are genuine
  • Competitive prices
  • Responsive on social media

Cons:

  • They do not have a telephone customer service number, so there may be delays in getting back to you if you do have an issue

Space NK.com

Although it may not be as well known as some of the previously mentioned retailers, Space NK has been around for over 20 years.

SpaceNK is the only retailer on this list to have physical stores too – so you know you’re buying legitimate products – you can walk in and look at their stock, or buy it online.

They’ve had plenty of positive media coverage about their company too. They stock a good range of Olaplex products at a competitive price and state that your order will be with you in 2-4 working days, or you can pay extra for next day delivery.

Their average Trustpilot score is ‘Excellent’ and they have a loyal customer base that holds their customer service in high regard.

You can also buy with confidence, knowing that Space NK has a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, meaning that you can return any unused products within 28 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.

One of my favourite things about this particular retailer, is that even if a product has been opened and you are not satisfied with it, you can return it within 28 days with proof of purchase for an exchange – which is something that not a lot of beauty retailers do.

Pros:

  • Both online and physical stores
  • Been around for over 20 years
  • Plenty of positive media coverage
  • ‘Excellent’ trustpilot score
  • 100% customer satisfaction guarantee
  • 28 days returns policy
  • Can return opened items that you are not happy with for an exchange

Cons:

  • Website is slower loading and not as easy to navigate as the stockists mentioned previously

How Much Are Olaplex Treatments In UK Salons?

Olaplex started out as an in-salon treatment only, but when they realised how much customers loved the way it made their hair feel, they started offering products for use at home.

Not all Olaplex treatments are easy to get hold of yourself. Olaplex Number 1 and Number 2 are still salon only exclusives as they are done when bleaching/colouring your hair and must be administered by a professional.

The exact price of the treatment will depend on the salon you go to, but after doing some research it seems that the average price of an Olaplex treatment in the UK is £15-£20 on top of your colour/cut charge.

However, if you do want to purchase Olaplex at home due to all the great things you may have heard, one way to find out if it’s for you is to have a treatment done in a salon beforehand!

How Does Each Salon Treatment Work?

  1. Olaplex 1, Bond Multiplier – This is a salon exclusive product that is mixed in with the hair dye or bleach before it is applied to your healthy hair.
  2. Olaplex 2, Bond Perfector – This treatment, also a salon-exclusive, is applied to your hair after the colour has been washed out.

It’s left on your hair for around 20 minutes to repair the broken bonds by the colour and add proteins to your hair.

Having a trial run in a salon is definitely a great way of trying the product before committing to buying a larger amount of it at home, and it’s also a great chance to ask your professional stylists which Olaplex products they recommend for your hair type and how to use it – after all, they are the experts.

Once you’ve decided to purchase the at home products, this should save you money in the long run as for a little more than the price of one treatment – you’ll get a whole bottle.

After reading this article, I hope you’ve found all the information that you were looking for and have enough facts to help you in your purchase of Olaplex and start your journey to healthier, happier, stronger hair!
